Shema has worked with young children for most of her life. Her first job was at Columbine United Church in the nursery. She then went on to work at Centennial Academy of Fine Arts in the SACC program for three years, and currently is a volunteer at Wilder Elementary School and Columbine United Church’s Sunday School. Shema has attended CSU, CU Denver, and ACC for Early Childhood Education. Currently, she is in a CDA course to earn her Child Development Associates certification. She lives with her mother, Laura (a kindergarten teacher at Wilder Elementary School) and older sister Sophie. She has three dogs, and in her spare time writes music, sews stuffed animals, and makes comics.
